I've spent five years at LoanOptions.ai, an AI-powered loan comparison and broking platform, the last three as CTO. I designed the platform architecture, built the AWS infrastructure on serverless and CDK, built the AI matching layer, ran engineering hiring and have been responsible for security and compliance on sensitive financial data. AWS and MongoDB have both published pieces on that work.

Through Mount Mindforce I work with founders in finance, lending, insolvency and professional services, a day or two a week. I find what's slowing the business down and fix it. Sometimes that's a platform my team builds and I'm accountable for. Often it's a vendor decision, a hire or a process, and sometimes the right answer is to build nothing.

Every engagement starts with a paid diagnostic, so the recommendation is paid for whether or not a build follows. I can read and judge a codebase, which means my review of your engineers or a vendor's proposal counts for something.
